EDE536C Understanding and Leading Instructional Change in K12 Schools

This course will take place over the course of a school year and will consist of monthly seminar meetings accompanied by field-based experiences, to address several complementary aspects of the responsibilities a teacher leader will likely be assigned – with a special focus on (a) mentoring and coaching colleagues, (b) leading teams in the use of data to impact and monitor effective change, and (c) understanding and leading instructional change in K-12 schools.

The course will be organized in three parts, each taking place over a semester and focusing on one of the three key themes identified above.
